    Delivery Information

    • FOR DELIVERY LEAD TIMES PLEASE LOOK ON THE PRODUCT below the product description.  Most items are delivered on a two man to the room of choice delivery.  A few items are delivered on a one man to the door delivery, these items will state in the delivery lead time on the product.
    • 48HR DELIVERY select a delivery date at checkout.  (please note that lead times are extended over the Christmas & New Year period due to manufacturers closing.) 
    • FAST TRACK DELIVERY can vary between 2-14 days so please see the individual product lead times.  You will be contacted after purchase to arrange delivery of these items.
    • DISPOSAL OF OLD BED &/or DISPOSAL OF OLD MATTRESS - Now available for £50 (Please note this does not include disassembly of the old bed, it must be ready for collection)
    • BED ASSEMBLY - We only offer assembly on divan beds for £60 where you can select the assembly on the product page. Unfortunately we do not offer assembly on the flat pack beds or the products where you can not select assembly on the product page itself.
    • ACCESS - PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK THAT YOU HAVE ADEQUATE ACCESS FOR YOUR ORDER TO REACH YOUR ROOM OF CHOICE.  PLEASE NOTE DELIVERY DRIVERS WILL NOT BEND MATTRESSES, SO IF YOU REQUIRE THE MATTRESS TO BE BENT TO REACH IT'S ROOM OF CHOICE, PLEASE MAKE YOUR OWN ARRANGEMENTS TO DO THIS.   MATTRESSES SHOULD NOT BE FOLDED, WE MEAN IF THEY NEED TO BE BENT ROUND CORNERS FOR A FEW SECONDS OR ROUND A CORNER ON A STAIRWELL.

    Here at Beds on Legs all items are delivered free of charge within England and Wales, Scotland is an extra charge.  Delivery is usually on a two man to the room of choice delivery.  We do not deliver to Northern Ireland.

    Some items are delivered on a one man service, to the front door.  These can be delivered between 8am - 6pm.  It will be noted in the lead time on the product if the item is on this service.  If you would like to double check the delivery service you will receive, please give us a call on 01482 576771.

    Occasionally items may need to be split into two deliveries due to them coming from different manufacturers.  We will inform you as soon as your order is placed if this is the case and you will receive two messages with your time slots for each delivery. 

    If you are in the Scottish highlands our couriers charge a nominal fee for this service (* Please see these exclusions listed below).

    Your item will be delivered within the delivery time quoted on the product you have ordered, please note over the Christmas & New Year period many manufacturers close and the courier has reduced delivery options so this may extend your lead time.  Please call us for more detailed delivery times if you require your item by a certain date.  

    The courier will then be your next point of contact, they will contact you with an optional delivery date.  If you unable to make the delivery date given, please call them to cancel / change the date given.  Once the delivery date has been given, the courier will then contact you the day before delivery with a 2-3 hour time slot.  Please note if you do not call to cancel / change the delivery date and the delivery fails, there will be a minimum of £60 redelivery charge.  They deliver 5 days a week and are in most areas most days.


    Premier Two Man Service

    Wherever possible a Premier Two Man service will be offered:

    - Delivery to room of choice upstairs or downstairs

    - Monday to Friday (Free) 7.00am to 9.00pm delivery.  Occasionally the courier may offer a weekend a delivery. 

    - 2-3 hour delivery slot given by the courier the evening before delivery (excluding the following post codes: LD, LL, SA, SY, EX, PL, TQ, TR, CA, DG, EH, G, KA, ML & TD)

    - PLEASE NOTE WE CAN DELIVER TO THE GROUND FLOOR, FIRST OR SECOND FLOOR WITHOUT A LIFT.  Some of the couriers will go to the third floor so please check but they will not go above that without a working lift.

     Delivery time slots are a guideline only, the courier company try their best to keep within these time slots but it is not always possible due to traffic, breakdown & any other unforeseen circumstances.  We will not compensate for deliveries arriving outside of the allocated delivery time slot.  The courier can also call 30 mins before arrival if you need to get home to meet the delivery.  

    Exclusions on free delivery

    The following post codes in Scotland and other areas normally incurr a delivery charge depending on the zones below

    Zone 2: £20.00:
    G, EH, KA, ML, DG, TD, Isle of Wight PO30- PO41 (only available on certain items)

    Zone 3: £50

    Zone 4 £120

    Most divan beds can be delivered to off-shore Islands but please call before making your purchase to check the item you are selecting can be delivered to your location.

    11. Delivery/ Collection

    11.1 Our delivery charges are set out on the following link:

    These are normally added to your order through the checkout process after you have typed in your post code, however if the charge is not present upon checkout but is listed in our exclusion from free delivery list, we will call after the order is placed to get permission to take the charge from your card.

    11.2 Please note that we are only able to deliver to addresses within the United Kingdom excluding Northern Ireland. We can also not deliver to Ireland.

    11.3 We will deliver the goods to the address you specify for delivery on your order. It is important that this address is accurate. If you have any delivery instructions, please inform us via e-mail to sales@bedsonlegs.co.uk. We cannot accept any liability for any loss or damage to the goods once they have been delivered in accordance with your delivery instructions (unless this is caused by our negligence). Where you have requested a pre-call for delivery/collection and do not answer your phone leading to delivery failure, there will be a minimum charge of £60  (+ any chargeable delivery fee paid on initial order) for redelivery/collection.

    11.4 We will aim to deliver the goods by the date quoted for delivery under the price on each individual product page but delivery times are not guaranteed. If we are unable to deliver in the time quoted, we will contact you with the revised delivery time via e-mail or telephone and let you know, so you can decide whether you would like to continue with the order or cancel. We will not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss, cost, damages, charges or expenses caused directly or indirectly by any delay in the delivery of the goods.

    11.5 Where more than one item is ordered, we will deliver them both together as soon as they are both available

    11.6 You will become the owner of the goods you have ordered when they have been delivered to you. Once goods have been delivered to you they will be held at your own risk and we will not be liable for their loss or destruction.

    11.7 Please note where a delivery/collection date has been given and the customer has not called the courier to cancel/change the offered delivery date and the buyer is not present, Beds on Legs reserves the right to charge the buyer a minimum of £60 (+ any chargeable delivery fee paid on initial order)  to cover the cost of the failed delivery/collection.  This charge also applies if a confirmed delivery is cancelled or changed within 48hrs of the confirmed delivery date.  Monday deliveries need to be cancelled or changed by the previous Thursday.

    11.8 Please note if the drivers are unable to get the item upstairs as it will not fit or because they think it is unsafe to do so, the customer will have the option to accept the delivery or make their own arrangements to move the goods or reject the delivery.  On a mattress delivery, the courier drivers are not allowed to bend a mattress to get it upstairs.  Please check your access and make your own arrangements to get the mattress upstairs if you no option but to bend it in order to reach your room of choice.  If the delivery is rejected due toaccess issues, there will be a minimum charge of £60 (+ any chargeable delivery fee paid on initial order).  

    If your item is a MADE TO ORDER item, there will be a cancellation charge or returns fee of £100  (+ any chargeable delivery fee paid on initial order) or for a 6ft Super King Size Bed, 50% of the price of the bed (+ any chargeable delivery fee paid on initial order) , if the item has already been manufactured even if it has not been dispatched with the courier.   A made to order item constitutes any item where you have had to select a size, colour and storage option.

    If the item you have ordered is not on our website we will be unable to accept it back.

     

    11.9 Both Beds on Legs/ the contractor and the personnel of Beds on Legs/ the contractor will not accept liability for any damage both to the delivered product and to the customers property, (including all types of fixtures, fittings and building structure), whilst assisting the customer with delivery to the room of choice. The customer must solely take responsibility for this action. Any consequent damage should fall under the customer's household insurance.

    11.10 All upgraded delivery charges must be arranged and paid for in full prior to delivery and these are all non-refundable once the item has been dispatched with the courier.

    11.11 Beds on Legs contracted deliveries will not set up your item, most beds are flat pack and require assembling.

    11.13 Please be aware for health and safety issues delivery drivers are unable to remove their shoes when delivering products into customers houses. If you need to protect your flooring please make sure an adequate cover has been placed on the floor prior to the delivery driver arriving.

    11.14 Please do not dispose of your old bed before the arrival of the new one.

    11.15 Please note once the items have been dispatched there is a minimum £60.00 cancellation fee if you would like to delay delivery more than 2 weeks, cancel or change your order, this is £100 of MADE TO ORDER items.  A made to order item constitutes any item where you have had to select a size, colour and/or storage option.

    If the item you have ordered is not on our website we will be unable to accept it back.

    11.16 Please note the courier company will deliver to the ground floor or 1st or 2nd floor room of choice. They will not deliver above the second floor of there is no lift.

     11.17 Please note that all charges for disposal and assembly services are non-refundable if they are not carried out due to a failure on the customers part.  For disposals, beds must be disassembled and ready for collection.  If an item can not be taken upstairs due to access issues, any assembly charges will still be non-refundable.
